Cloncurry Shire Council will for the first time hold an open community forum for the Cloncurry community.
Cloncurry Shire Council Mayor Greg Campbell said, “We are inviting all community members to attend the forum to put forward any suggestions they may have for Cloncurry or discuss any concerns that they may have.”
“The forum is about opening the line of communication between Councillors and the community. This Council has been in the seat for a few months now and feel it is time to get into the community and hold up our commitment of representing the community.”
The forum will commence with an update from the Mayor on key projects that have commenced or coming up shortly. The floor will then open up to community members who can ask questions and provide suggestions.
“After the forum has concluded community members are invited to stay on for refreshments and mingle with Councillors,” said Mayor Campbell.
“I look forward to seeing what suggestions may come up and meeting with community members.”
All community members are invited to attend on Wednesday 12 October 2016, 5.30pm at the Cloncurry Community Precinct.
