CLONCURRY WATER RESTRICTIONS

Cloncurry Shire Council wishes to advise that the following heightened water restrictions will apply effective from Monday 28 May 2007.  These Level 2 restrictions supersede the previous usage limitations.

The use of sprinklers and unattended hoses is strictly prohibited, except during the following days and times.

Monday      

Total Ban

Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday

Properties with even house/lot numbers are permitted use between the hours of: 6am – 8am and 6pm – 8pm only        

Wednesday, Friday & Sunday

Properties with odd house/lot numbers are permitted use between the hours of: 6am – 8am and 6pm –8pm only             

Non-compliance with this notice will incur a $75.00 on the spot fine (infringement notice) which will be enforced by Authorised Council Officers.

Any properties using bore water are to have signs stating so in clear view on the property frontage. Council Officers will be checking properties displaying bore water signs to ensure they are being used and not town water.

Bore Water Supply signs can now be purchased from the Shire Council Reception for $12.50.

Please be waterwise and conserve water wherever possible.
