Cloncurry Shire Council will hold a second community forum on Thursday 23 March 2017 based around information on Council’s 2017/2018 budget.
Cloncurry Shire Council Mayor Greg Campbell said, “Following on from the success of the first forum held in October 2016 Council will host the first forum for 2017 that aligns with the process for Council’s upcoming budget.”
“This forum will work like the previous forum with the opportunity for Council to provide an update on projects currently in progress or upcoming and allow community members to ask questions of Council.”
“There have been several outcomes from the last forum including the new drop in Cricket Pitch that was completed 21 February 2017 in time to hold the ANZAC day cricket game.”
“Some of the items discussed last year are longer term goals and others that require further investigation. All items raised at the forum will be collated and prioritised for action.”
The forum will commence with an update from the Mayor on key projects, questions and ideas from community members and the addition of the 2017/2018 budget process from Council.
“Once the forum has concluded community members are welcome to stay for light refreshments and mingle with Councillors and staff and ask any further questions you may have.”

Community members are encouraged to submit any questions or ideas prior to the event by either submitting a form online, emailing Council firstname.lastname@example.org or sending in a written response to the Council office.
All community members are invited to attend on Thursday 23 March 2017, 5.30pm at the Cloncurry Community Precinct.
