Community Precinct
The precenct will be a community hub incorporating Library, Gallery, Function rooms, Commercial Kitchen and amenities, Community open space and Council Administration centre.
LaunchOn Monday 6th September 2010, Mayor Andrew Daniels, Betty Kiernan MP (Member for Mount Isa) and Myles Johnston (General Manager Ernest Henry Mine) launched the project. The Launch was an opportunity to officially acknowledge all partners involved with the project. Queensland Government is supporting the project under the Rural Living Infrastructure Program. Ernest Henry Mining has committed funding for the project under the Xstrata Community Partnership Program North Queensland. Click here to view images from the Launch. Information EveningWednesday 17th November 2010 saw the first of the Community Information Evenings on the project. Concept Plans of the project were presented to the over 40 strong crowd. Good feedback was recived about the project and alot of keen interest in seeing the project is commenced. |
The Cloncurry Community Precinct is a major infrastructure project for the Cloncurry Shire Council.
