The Cloncurry Refuse Facility handles a lot of different waste products. The mainstream waste facility is opened 24 hours a day and people have opportunities to recycle metal, cooking oil, batteries and demolition material (this is located in a separate area which may be re-used). Asbestos is classified as a regulated waste and is located in a separate facility all together. Green waste also has a separate area. There is clear directional signage throughout the area to point you in the correct direction. Fires and tyres are banned from the Cloncurry Refuse Facility.
