Scarr Street Revitalisation Project

Cloncurry Shire Council is undertaking a streetscape master planning exercise focusing on the town centre, anchored by Scarr and Ramsay Streets, and as part of a broader project including both a utilities upgrade in the town centre and entry statements on the highway east and west. This town centre upgrade is a once-in-a-generation project that will help define the character of the town centre for the community for decades to come. Council has progressed to a revised concept design for the Cloncurry town center streetscape. Council aims to effectively engage with the community to reach a coherent, iconic, practical, constructable and maintainable outcome which can become the basis of a template for the redevelopment of the broader town.
