Cloncurry Local Business Network Awards - 7 November 2019

The purpose of the Cloncurry Local Business Network Awards are to showcase our proud local businesses; to recognise the valuable contributions these businesses make within the community and to celebrate how these businesses contribute to the economic growth and sustainability of the Cloncurry Shire.

This years winners were: 

  • Start-Up Superstar Award - This award recognises the importance of start ups within the Shire and hopes to encourage more of these businesses establishing in Cloncurry
    • Winner – Scott and Natalie Pratt
  • Movers & Shakers Award - This award is designed to encourage established businesses within the Shire to invest and improve their businesses to benefit their customers, as well as the town as a whole
    • Winner -  Curry’s Diesel Maintenance
  • Workforce Warrior Award - This award is for an employer of any size within the Shire that believes in providing opportunities through training, and recognises the importance of a diverse and locally based workforce
    • Winner – Booth Maintenance & Contracting
  • Community Champions Award - This award is recognition for a local business that supports the wider community in any number of different ways
    • Winner – Cloncurry Post Office
  • Mining, Construction & Trades Titan Award - This award acknowledges any civil, construction, mining or trades based business within the Shire, and recognise the valuable services these businesses provide
    • Winner – Cloncurry Constructions
  • Radical Retail Award - This award recognises that retails businesses face many challenges as customer demand and expectations are constantly evolving
    • Winner – Bohemian Dream
  • Tourism & Events Award for Excellence - This award acknowledges the importance of tourism to our local economy, and is open to both businesses and events that are determined to attract visitors to Cloncurry and keep them returning to the Shire
    • Winner – Quamby Allsports Association
  • Stellar Small Business Award - This award recognises the unique role a very small business plays within the Cloncurry Shire and recognises the adversity smaller businesses face
    • Winner – Bohemian Dream
  • Hospitality Award for Excellence - This award showcases the hospitality industry within the Cloncurry Shire, and the role these businesses play within the community
    • Winner – QCWA Cloncurry
