What do level Two water restrictions mean?


•   Odds and even sprinkling, including micro-spray and drip systems, only between 5:00am and 8:00am and 7:00pm and 10:00pm. Even property numbers: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 
Odd property numbers: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday

Chinaman Creek Dam Capacity
Above 60%
Operational all year round until dam level drops to 60% of capacity.Sprinkling only between 5:00am to 9:00am and 6:00pm to 10:00pm "odds & evens".
Below 60%
(Target Water Consumption below 3.5 ML/Day)
Operational all year round until dam level drops to 60% of capacity. Sprinkling only bewteen 5:00am to 9:00am and 6:00pm to 10:00pm "odds & evens".
Below 50%
(Target Water Consumption below 3.2 ML/Day)
Implement "odds & evens" water restrcitions - 5:00am to 7:00am and 8pm to 10:00pm. Start public awareness progra.
Below 40%
(Target Water Consumption below 3 ML/Day)
Reducing watering hours to 6:00am to 7:00am and 8:00pm to 9:00pm. Continue public awareness program.
Below 30%
(Target Water Consumption below 2.8 ML/Day)
Total sprinkler ban. Hand held hose permitted. Continue public awareness program.
Below 20%
(Target Water Consumption below 2.5 ML/Day)
Total sprinkler ban. Limited hand hose use permitted. Continue public awareess program.

Council wishes to remind the community that our water is precious and that it must be used responsibly so as to avoid wastage. 
Any properties using bore water or rainwater are exempt from these restrictions. These properties must have signs stating so in clear view on the property frontage.•    No sprinklers or unattended hoses permitted on Mondays 
•    Fountains and water ornaments can only operate if they recycle water 
•    Washing privately owned cars, boats and other vehicles is permitted 
•    Water must not be used to clean paved or concreted areas, except for health and safety reasons 
•    Non-compliance with these restrictions may incur a $260.00 infringement notice
