The 2024 Cloncurry Prize Poetry Competition is now open!
Calling all poets - Cloncurry wants your words! One of the nation's richest poetry competitions, the Cloncurry Prize, is now open with the theme, ‘Standing on the Shoulders of Giants’, through the lens of Outback Australia.
Inspired by Dame Mary Gilmore, the Cloncurry Prize Poetry Competition is now accepting entries from across the country. Amateur, aspiring and famed wordsmiths are invited to put ink to paper (or log on, as the case may be) for their chance to win the $10,000 cash prize.
Entries for the competition will close on 3 May 2024. The winner will be announced at an awards evening held in Cloncurry on 21 June 2024.
